Over the last thirty years working within agencies, working on my own and as a independent consultant I have worked with one man bands to very large brands. Below are some of the more recognisable brands I have ran and designed successful campaigns for.
I work with one man bands and startups as I have “been there and done it”. I can short cut your way to success, simply by focussing on what counts. I work on similar issues for larger brands, which although larger still need to get in and open up markets. In both cases I work on a consultancy basis and support your team. However, everyone and everything is different, so I am open to change and opportunity. We should talk. Please call 020 3322 1282 and leave a message.
Rio Tinto at the time and still perhaps now is the largest company in the world, specialising in mining. This was a campaign that was run at a time of crisis. It was important that the company side of their story should be heard. Working closely with the PR department we ensured that coverage was achieved online within search, social media and across a range of key online properties. We placed stories and images and worked out the angles in a multiphase campaign.
Disney Europe is based in Hammersmith. Working with both the London and Paris teams I ensured online visibility, with a strong focus on sales was delivered consistently with extra emphasis during periods of intense competition to Disneyland Paris.
The Panasonic mission was to increase E-commerce sales and we had to work hard to ensure that their secure E-commerce site got to the top of search engines while continuing to achieve the level of sales expected. A very metric based campaign.
The IOD had a range of objectives, overall to fend off the competition by dominating the rankings but also to spread the word on special events and membership drives.
I kick started the Entrepreneur of the Year program for Ernst & Young in the UK. A “US import” the activity was old school, pre-internet. It still survives today. Much of the work was pro-active telephone marketing with online email and website follow-up in order to qualify suitable candidates and hand over to partners.
The launch of a range of new products including a partnership with Ericsson and the Sony Playstation. Our work was web centric with the objective of ensuring listings in search and achieving widespread online coverage. This was a multifaceted, integrated campaign of which we were the main digital partners within the program.
I personally delivered a six month direct marketing training program delivered by webinar to the Bluefin reseller network. Each month I devised an actual campaign and uploaded all the materials to a secure server and talked through how to implement each campaign.
An interesting project where our main objective was to outmanoeuvre the very crafty counterfeit goods market. It was almost, if you can’t beat them join them and with this we beat them and won over time. There’s nothing like the real deal. I acquired quite a few very nice Cartier watches as a result. I always remember meeting their leather, jumpsuit clad Paris based marketing director – a la Moulin Rouge, inside and atop one of the Montmartre windmills. Atmospheric!
SEO has always been very important for traffic and cheapflights had the key words embedded in the logo, making life easier in a very competitive world. Ultimately this became a series of interlinked content, engagement and pay per click strategies.
A pure consultancy project where we passed on what we knew and taught IBM how to apply SEO to their services and offer it to their clients, a great experience and an honour to work with their team.
A series of launch campaigns for the Ford Transit. It led to more business through their agency and led to a number of interesting meetings with senior staff, leading ultimately to an offer for the company. We never took it, there was too much paper involved!
Nowadays I work where I want, when I want and I look to work with interesting people on interesting projects in a supportive capacity. I have an ability to cut to the chase and see what needs to be done very quickly. Make contact if you would like an hour’s free consultation.
